A day in Ayutthaya is about my trip to the old capital of Thailand. Ayutthaya is a world heritage area and I visited the Reclining Buddha that wears a yellow robe. This Buddha is situated in Wat Chai Mongkon. The next station was the palace of King U-Thong and his amazing display of roosters. A further memorable sight was visiting Wat Phanan Choeng and the giant golden Buddha. Finally, there is Wat Mahathat with its most famous image of Ayutthaya, the Buddha head wrapped within a banyan tree.
A tribute to Chakrabhand Posayakrit is about the very famous and popular national artist of Thailand. Posayakrit paints realistic images of people and in his later works he uses more imagination and idealizes his paintings. He also makes decorative arts and Thai puppets.
Welcome to my blog about Thailand’s culture, art, history and on the people of Thailand.
