I really cherish and love Khanom Look Choop which is fruit shaped mung beans. This dessert is so beautiful to look at. Wun Look Choop (วุ้นลูกชุบ) is fruit shaped mung beans in jelly. The jelly may have different flavours like that of tropical fruit or coconut. This Thai dessert is served cold. Thus, it is very refreshing in the hot summer season 🙂

Here is what you need to prepare 3-4 portions:

  • 25 pieces of Khanom Look Choop
  • 5g agar agar powder
  • 150g sugar
  • 3 cups of water
  • food colouring (different colours)
  • flavours (optional)
  • small plastic cups


Take a pan filled with water and heat the agar powder. Add the sugar and stir until the agar powder and sugar are completely dissolved. Put this mixture into three or more separate bowls and put in some drops of the respective food colouring and flavour (optional). Then pour this mixture into the small plastic cups and put a Look Choop on top. Let it set and cool down. You’re ready to serve!
